Boi Meets Play's own, Ms. Aliya Valentine, performs a Latin infused Belly Dance routine of her own choreography as a greater showcase of queer talent at the BENT 10 event 3/17/2012.

Valentine carefully crafted this piece to highlight her Hispanic and Middle Eastern heritage. By showing the similarities and beauty of both her cultures, she hopes to remind everyone that despite differences, we can still find common ground. Valentine says, "I hope it will encourage women of conservative and more traditional backgrounds to rise above their fears, and embrace their strength, independence, and sensuality as women, and more than anything, be able to find their voice through their own medium."
